Skandacor unveils inkjet embellishment press – the Finishpro 3D 1623

Skandacor has announced the launch of the Finishpro 3D 1623, an ultra affordable digital embellishment press. The new inkjet based system is a breakthrough in both technology and accessibility, capable of producing flat spot coatings and dimensional (raised) textures on sheets up to 16 × 23 inches.

The Finishpro 3D 1623 uses a proprietary XYZ axis process to precisely apply multiple layers of varnish, enabling tactile 3D effects at a fraction of the hardware cost of traditional embellishment presses.

The device delivers flat spot UV gloss, raised 3D varnish textures, and can create raised digital foil accents when paired with Skandacor specialty finishers.

The 1623 dramatically lowers the cost barrier to entry for specialty finishing. Users who once found 3D UV and foil effects cost prohibitive can now offer premium embellished prints without the hefty investment previously required.
