Roland DG will exhibit at Ceramitec 2026, taking place from 24 to 26 March at the Trade Fair Centre Messe München, Germany. Visitors can meet the Roland DG team in hall 6, stand A130, where the company will present its PB Series powder 3D printing solutions, developed to support advanced ceramic modelling and production applications.
Ceramitec is one of the leading international platforms for the ceramics industry, bringing together manufacturers, researchers and technology specialists focused on materials innovation, process optimisation and production efficiency. At the 2026 edition, Roland DG will demonstrate how powder based additive manufacturing can complement established ceramic workflows by enabling precise, repeatable production of complex geometries.
The PB Series powder 3D printers enable the production of highly detailed ceramic objects without the need for traditional moulds or tooling. Using a binder jetting process, liquid binder is selectively jetted onto thin layers of ceramic powder, bonding the material layer by layer to create complex three-dimensional forms.

This technology enables manufacturers, designers and research teams to produce intricate geometries that are difficult or impossible to achieve through conventional forming or milling, accelerate prototyping and small batch production, reduce tooling dependency for short runs or customised components, and maintain high levels of dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
A high quality surface finish is achieved using Brightorb, a fine particle ceramic powder engineered for optimal performance. With less than 1% shrinkage during firing, Brightorb ensures dimensional stability, a critical factor in ceramic modelling and functional component production.
With a 0.1 mm layer pitch, the PB Series delivers high definition detail and smooth surface quality, reducing post-processing requirements and supporting consistent production outcomes.
At Ceramitec, visitors will be able to explore application samples and discuss how powder 3D printing can be integrated into existing ceramic production environments, whether for prototyping, mould alternatives, customised elements or complex design development.
‘Additive manufacturing continues to expand the possibilities for ceramic production, particularly where geometric complexity and design flexibility are required,’ said Peter Verryt, director of new business office at Roland DG Europe. ‘At Ceramitec, we look forward to engaging with industry professionals and demonstrating how the PB Series can enhance production flexibility while maintaining process control and material performance.’
