Successful businesses are often built on identifying gaps in the market and introducing something new. In Albania, the demand for customised, experience led interiors was growing, but the market lacked a leader – until Kridia ArtPrinting Solutions met its match with Roland DG.
Kridia ArtPrinting Solutions is a specialised brand in the wallcovering and interior design market, bringing premium wallpaper, 3D textured wallcoverings, and custom interior designs to customers across Albania.
Supported by a team with extensive experience in the wider advertising and printing industry, the business was developed to introduce new creative possibilities to the local market through advanced print technology. At its centre is Roland DG.
With its expansive 3D texture printing capabilities, the Dimense was a natural fit to help Kridia deliver tactile, high end interior decoration designed for experience driven spaces. A critical part of the job is the Roland DG Connect Designer Dimense Module, which allows Kridia to efficiently create and control the process of bringing design to life.

Kridia was introduced to the Dimense and complimentary workflow software Connect through Graphcom Albania, Roland DG’s partner in the region. This investment was more than a routine equipment purchase, as Kridia was the first to bring this technology into the Albanian market positioning itself by combining the Dimense DA-640 printer with the Dimense model.
Already familiar with Roland DG technology from previous printer investments, Julinda Kolleshi at Kridia Artprinting felt confident taking the next step. Julinda said, ‘We had used Roland machines before and were very pleased with our experience. That is why we decided to invest in a new Dimense device and bring a new technology in Albanian market.’
That proven trust in previous performance made their decision to expand into textured wallcoverings a natural progression.
Today, Kridia uses the printer for 3D embossed wallpaper and canvas printing,
supporting a growing number of indoor decorative applications – an important differentiator for the business in a time when demand for highly personalised spaces is steadily climbing.
For Julinda, ease of operation has also been a major advantage.
Alongside the hardware, Kridia uses the Connect Designer Dimense Module to manage its print environment.
The platform provides centralised oversight of their ecosystem more efficiently by providing centralised information, notifications, and operational insights, which support smoother daily workflows and reduce downtime.
According to the company, the software has been a useful tool for monitoring printer status, maintenance needs, and overall device performance. For every project, artwork is prepared and enhanced to suit final installation dimensions before it is uploaded into the DG Connect Designer module where teams can identify where texture and embossing will be applied. The software has become an important creative tool for Kridia, allowing them to create textured elements much faster than traditional design applications.
For a growing print business, having greater visibility into device status and maintenance planning creates more confident day to day operations. Where structure editing once meant manual selection and limited control, the Dimense Module has replaced that with automated structure generation, faster iteration, and closer consistency between concept and final print.
For Kridia, the value of the Designer module is evident on time sensitive projects. Recently, the team was asked to create a series of embossed Ancient Coin graphics that required intricate texture mapping and a fast turnaround time.
‘We had to complete the client's request as soon as possible, and Designer was very time efficient for editing the structural elements,’ said Julinda.
Today, the Module is used in nearly all of Kridia's projects, particularly for structure editing – making it a core part of daily production.
Kridia remains the only company in Albania capable of producing fully customised embossed wallpaper based on a customer's image or design.
By combining Dimense printing technology with the Designer workflow, Kridia can offer customers a level of personalisation and creative freedom that can’t be found elsewhere in the country, helping the company establish itself as a leader in premium interior decoration.
As personalised printing continues to evolve, Kridia sees its strongest momentum in indoor applications for premium decorative spaces. This shift aligns closely with Kridia’s future ambitions as the company continues to expand further into premium interior decoration, textured wallcoverings, and custom print products.
