Counterfeit automotive parts present a growing challenge for manufacturers, distributors, and consumers alike. Fake components can compromise vehicle performance, reduce reliability, and create potential safety risks. As a leading global supplier of automotive systems and industrial components, Jtekt is reinforcing its commitment to product authenticity and customer protection.

To support its growing direct to consumer automotive parts business, Jtekt is introducing a new authentication solution developed with the Kurz Scribos brand.

The two companies share a long standing partnership in the fight against counterfeiting. For more than ten years, Jtekt has relied on Kurz Scribos authentication technology to protect its bearing products, utilising Trustseal security features and digital verification as part of the World Bearing Association’s global efforts to combat counterfeit bearings. Building on this proven collaboration, Jtekt has now expanded the use of Kurz Scribos solutions to its automotive parts business. As the company grows its direct to consumer sales channels, ensuring that customers receive genuine products has become increasingly important. The introduction of Trustseal ID provides consumers with a simple and reliable way to verify product authenticity while helping deter counterfeiters.

The digitally verifiable hologram is a breakthrough in anti-counterfeiting technology, offering an entirely new level of security for original spare parts. Developed by Kurz Scribos, this innovative feature combines cutting edge holographic security with advanced digital verification.

The new Trustseal ID solution combines proven physical security features with the Scribos 360 digital platform. Scribos 360 is a cloud based platform for product authentication and brand protection.

Consumers can quickly authenticate products by scanning the security label with their smartphones, providing immediate confirmation that they have purchased a genuine Jtekt product. In addition, they can access relevant product information and services via Jtekt Parts Navi to search for car parts.

At the same time, the authentication process is managed through Scribos 360, generating verification data that helps the supplier identify unusual authentication patterns, investigate potential counterfeit incidents, and gain greater transparency into authentication activity.

Together, Trustseal ID and Scribos 360 connect physical product protection with digital authentication, enabling trusted customer interactions while supporting Jtekt’s efforts to detect and respond to counterfeit products.

As the company continues to expand its direct to consumer automotive parts business, protecting customers from counterfeit products remains a key priority.

The introduction of Trustseal ID marks an important step in extending its proven anti-counterfeiting strategy beyond bearings and into new product categories.

By combining a trusted physical security solution with digital authentication, Jtekt is providing customers with a simple way to verify product authenticity while strengthening confidence in genuine parts. The expanded collaboration reflects a shared commitment to protecting brands, supporting customers, and staying ahead of evolving counterfeit threats.
