Inspire CNC bolsters print production with four new machines from Quality Print Services

Hinckley based Inspire CNC Manufacturing has invested in four new printers from Quality Print Services (QPS) as part of its drive to increase production speed, boost capacity and reduce turnaround times for customers.

Located between Leicester and Birmingham, Inspire CNC, as its name may suggest, specialises in CNC routing, working with customers on a wide range of projects. The family run business traditionally counted novelty vintage street signs as its primary focus, but in recent years has diversified outside this area to also deliver printing services.

To support its initial move into printing, the company purchased two new ColorJet Verve Mini LED-UV printers from QPS in mid 2023. Following a successful two years of operation, the company recently made the decision to significantly bolster its production set up, returning to QPS for a further four machines.

First, Inspire CNC doubled its ColorJet Verve Mini count to four, taking delivery of an additional two machines this summer. A high resolution small format LED-UV curing flatbed printer, the device can print on substrates up to 100 mm thick on a bed measuring 1050 x 1650 mm, making it ideal for work such as promotional products, name plates, acrylic signs, metal and glass plaques, and safety signage.

‘This investment has allowed us to boost production speed and capacity, ensuring we can complete more work in less time, without having to compromise on quality,’ said Andy Whotton, company director.

Alongside this, Inspire CNC purchased a new Q Series QUV-60 UV-DTF printer, which provides users with the perfect solution for hard and soft surface decoration. Such is the versatility of the device that it can be used to create stunning applications including printed phone cases, ceramics, plastic water bottles, key rings and USB sticks.

Finally, it took on a new Q Series DTF printer for additional firepower for producing direct to fabric applications, with demand for such services on the rise at Inspire CNC. Andy said the quadruple purchase places the company in a strong position to take on more customers and further grow its presence in the print sector.

‘This forms part of our ongoing commitment to growth and efficiency,’ Andy said. ‘The new UV-DTF and DTF models have enabled us to broaden our product range and offer new finishes and materials, helping us meet a wider variety of customer needs.’

As for why the company elected to return to QPS for its latest investments, Andy said this was due to several factors. First, it can source both hardware and consumables, including Nazdar UV inks, from QPS, helping save on costs and making the overall process more convenient. In addition, Andy highlighted the quality of service from the aptly named QPS, from the initial purchase through to aftercare and maintenance support.

‘We are able to purchase our Nazdar UV inks and maintenance equipment directly from QPS, which not only simplifies our ordering process but also saves us money; the Nazdar inks are very competitively priced and consistently reliable,’ Andy said.
