From ink to function: inkjet for printed electronics and smart surfaces
ESMA Academy, in collaboration with Fraunhofer IPA and Hahn-Schickard has launched a new course on 20 to 21 April 2027 in Stuttgart.
As new materials and substrates enter production, inkjet is tasked with demanding functional applications – from printed electronics to smart surfaces – where rheology, adhesion, drop behaviour and process control make the difference between a concept and a working device. This new hands-on two day training closes that gap. Learn what makes an ink jettable, how to pre-screen materials, match them to substrates and select the right printhead and ink system, and how to troubleshoot jetting, wetting, curing or drying issues.
The course will be of interest to research and development engineers, process and application engineers, ink and material formulators, substrate and equipment specialists, and technical managers moving into functional printing.
