ColorGate presents major innovations at FESPA

ColorGate Digital Output Solutions is to launch version 25 of its print data generation and colour management software, alongside the introduction of three new product solutions: the Core Productionserver family, the Simulation and Proofing Package, and Automation Productionserver, at FESPA Global Print Expo.

Available from May 13, 2025, Version 25 of Productionserver and Filmgate elevates digital print workflows to new heights. Built around the principles of smarter automation, improved performance, and maximum versatility, Productionserver 25 introduces advanced multipage PDF handling, improved proofing tools, and expanded device support, now supporting more than 2000 drivers. It also includes the latest Adobe PDF Print Engine 6.4, ensuring futureproof compatibility and optimised workflows.

To streamline and better address varying customer needs, the company is introducing the Core Productionserver product family, available from Version 25 onward.

• Core Productionserver S: a competitively priced entry level solution, ideal for small businesses and users operating a single entry level printer.

• Core Productionserver M: a mid tier option for print shops with growing workflow demands, offering access to larger format and flatbed printers along with essential modules for colour control.

• Core Productionserver L: a high end solution for highly productive print shops requiring maximum flexibility, partly automated workflows, and scalability, including support for super wide and hybrid machines.

This product family replaces former editions such as Flexline and Productionserver Light, simplifying customer choices.

In combination with Core Productionserver M, the new Simulation and Proofing Package replaces the previous Proofgate software. It delivers a streamlined, modern proofing solution that integrates seamlessly into everyday production workflows. Key features include the Proof Standard Digital Module for accurate simulation of real print conditions, Device Link Profiler for consistent colour management, and 1-Bit-TIFF input support. Enhancements in Version 25 make proofing more automated, including full support for Epson printers with integrated measurement devices and new compatibility with the DYMO LabelWriter 550.

ColorGate is also introducing Automation Productionserver, a server based solution that automates the generation and management of print ready data. The Rest API connects Automation Productionserver seamlessly to existing ERP, MIS, and workflow systems, drastically reducing manual interventions and error rates. It is highly modular and configured individually to meet specific production requirements. Automation Productionserver empowers print businesses to streamline operations, standardise output, and free up resources for strategic tasks.
