CMYUK has been awarded a certificate of appreciation by Kavalan in recognition of the measurable environmental savings achieved through the sale of Kavalan PVC free materials to customers during 2025.

The certificate highlights the collective sustainability impact generated through CMYUK’s continued promotion and distribution of Kavalan's PVC free wide format materials across the UK and Irish market.

The figures represent the environmental benefit achieved by CMYUK customers that have transitioned from traditional PVC materials to Kavalan's PVC free alternatives throughout the year.

  • 25,243 kg reductions in CO2 emissions.

  • 545,704 litres reduction in freshwater consumption.

Since 2020, CMYUK and Taya have worked collaboratively to establish Kavalan in the UK and Ireland, combining material innovation with market expertise to support the adoption of PVC free alternatives in the display and wide format graphics sector. Kavalan’s launch marked a significant step forward for the industry, providing one of the first commercially viable PVC free banner solutions capable of meeting professional performance and print quality standards.

This partnership driven approach has enabled Kavalan to gain traction across the market, supporting print service providers and brands in making practical, lower impact material choices.

The collaboration was recognised last year when CMYUK received the Kavalan Green Leader Award at FESPA, which acknowledged its initiative and consistent effort in promoting sustainable material innovation and driving measurable environmental change across the industry.

‘Since introducing Kavalan to the UK market, we have remained committed to championing viable PVC free alternatives that deliver both performance and sustainability. The environmental savings demonstrated in this certificate show what is possible when materials innovation is matched by industry adoption,’ said Michael Crook, commercial director, materials, CMYUK.

The Kavalan Green Leader Awards celebrate creative, impactful, and innovative applications using its PVC free wide format materials. They recognise real world print in signage projects, sustainability, innovative thinking and creative excellence across global markets.

Entries are now open to those who have completed a Kavalan project since March 2024. To enter, click the link here for access to the simple on-line submission form.

‘As Kavalan launches the 2026 Green Leader Awards, we are proud to support and promote the initiative, encouraging our customers to recognise and share the progress they are making towards lower carbon impact production,’ noted Michael.

Winners will be announced live at the FESPA Global Print Expo, Barcelona in May.
